The overview dashboard is the first thing you see after your project finishes bootstrapping. It gives you a high-level picture of how your brand performs across AI search engines.

Metric tabs

The dashboard has three main views, accessible via tabs at the top of the brand chart:
TabWhat it shows
VisibilityHow often your brand is mentioned in AI responses (as a percentage)
SentimentHow positively your brand is portrayed (0—100 scale)
PositionWhere your brand appears relative to competitors in responses
Each tab shows a time-series chart so you can track trends over your selected time period.
See Brand metrics for detailed explanations of how each metric is calculated.

Competitor ranking table

Below the chart, a ranking table shows the top competitors for the selected metric. The table includes:
  • Rank — position relative to other brands
  • Brand name — competitor name and icon
  • Metric score — visibility %, sentiment score, or position rank (depending on active tab)
Your own brand is always shown in the table. If it falls outside the top 6, it appears at the bottom with its actual rank preserved.

Topic performance breakdown

The topic table groups your prompts by topic and shows aggregated metrics for each:
  • Topic name and prompt count
  • AI volume — estimated AI search demand
  • Visibility % — brand mention rate
  • Sentiment — average sentiment score
  • Position — average position rank
You can export this table to CSV using the export button in the header.

Global filters

Filters at the top of the page control what data is displayed across all dashboard sections.

Date range

Select a time period for the data:
  • Last 7 days (default)
  • Last 14 days
  • Last 30 days
  • Last 90 days

AI provider

Filter by which AI search engine generated the responses — All (combined), or any single provider. See Integrations for the full provider list and which platforms count toward your plan.

Topics

If you’ve organized your prompts into topics, you can filter the dashboard to show metrics for specific topics only.

Exporting data

Click the Export button in the dashboard header to download your topic performance data as a CSV file. The export includes all visible columns and respects your current filter selections.

FAQ

How often is the dashboard data updated?

Topify collects AI responses daily. Your dashboard metrics — visibility, sentiment, position, and volume — refresh each day based on the latest batch. Historical trend data is available in 7, 14, 30, and 90-day windows.

What does it mean if my visibility score suddenly drops?

A drop means fewer AI responses are mentioning your brand for your tracked prompts. Common causes: a competitor launching new content that displaces your mentions, an AI model update that changes response patterns, or seasonal shifts in how AI handles queries in your category. Check the per-prompt breakdown to identify which specific prompts lost visibility.

Why does my brand sit below competitors I’m clearly bigger than?

AI search competition isn’t the same as market competition. Smaller competitors with more citable content — clearer headings, more statistics, more cited sources — often outrank larger brands in AI answers. The fix is content quality, not company size. Look at the Sources page to see what kinds of pages AI currently prefers for your prompts.
